Back Home!

I just got back from my trip to Germany! My parents and I, along with two other friends, went to the American Family Retreat that takes place in Germany every November. It was great! We drove there and a lot of people (including my parents) were a bit concerned about how I would take the trip. It was fantastic! It takes about 18-19 hours to get from Bucharest to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. You could do the trip in one day, in two days... we did it in three. I mean, three days to get up there and three days to get back. So it really wasn't bad at all. We got to stop in Vienna, Budapest, Munich, Nurenberg, Backnang... It was a lot of fun. While I was in Rothenburg I realized that I could walk by myself!!! Wow - all the excitement! So much to see, so many places to go! My parents seemed a bit worried, I wonder why is that?

The retreat was great: I got to meet old friends (like Tom, Phil, precious Alex, Dino, Ellen) and make many new ones. So much fun. I enjoyed Rothenburg - my parents kept talking about how it is such a old and beautiful place - but my favorite part of the trip was the two days spent in Sechselberg with my Daddy's friends. My Daddy met Heiko and Ulrike six years ago, in... ALASKA, while visiting Uncle Geoffrey. Back then they were young and free (no children!!). Now Heiko and Ulrike have two beautiful daughters, Luca and Jule. Luca and Jule were my friends. They really took care of me, played with me, taught me German, helped me walk. We had soooooo much fun. And I miss them so much. I will post a picture of them soon.

I will write more about that and post some pictures. I just wanted to let you know I am back - and thrilled about the holiday season. We put our Christmas tree up (literally! my parents said they had to put it UP on a table because of me - what does that mean??), we celebrated Mommy's birthday and tonight we are waiting for Saint Nick. He will come and leave presents in our shoes. Can't wait!!!
God bless you all!
